Chapter 101: Chapter 101 - Let’s Go Kill Her!
Melliandra smiled as she looked at the Trial Domain, her sniper rifle firmly in her grasp. "What are you thinking, Mel?" Kingsley asked, his eyes narrowing at her expression.
Melliandra shrugged her shoulders and responded nonchalantly, "Oh... Elincia, sometimes her decisions are very confusing, and sometimes we are even bothered by something that should be easily countered."
"We come in a peaceful way. You're not seriously trying to provoke a confrontation with our potential ally, are you?"
Melliandra then raised her rifle towards the Trial Domain and smiled mischievously. "Our 'superstar' actually succeeded in completing this Lv. 150 Trial Domain, and I'm sure after that, he will come out pleasantly surprised to find a cute Sniper ready to lay down some heavy fire on him." The corners of her mouth curled up into an amused smirk as she chuckled heartily.
"Melliandra, you're out of Health, and Mana," Kingsley warned with a hint of worry in his voice. "The slightest mistake you make could kill you. I won't be able to help you either!"
She merely chortled in response, a hint of sarcasm decorating her laughter. "Do you honestly think that someone who only recently cleared a Trial Domain Lv. 150 has enough resources to withstand my sniper attack? I don't think so."
As the tension thickened, Melliandra's confidence in her skills shone through, while Kingsley remained cautious, knowing the stakes were higher than just a simple confrontation. The hum of the Trial Domain resonated, a constant reminder that their target, Broken, could emerge at any moment.
"Elincia will be furious if she finds out!" Kingsley confirmed with a resolute tone. "Be careful, or else you may pay for it dearly should she catch wind of our dealings here."
Melliandra continued to press her argument. "Ahahahaha, it doesn't matter what the circumstances are-she'll still be angry either way. I want to test just how strong our 'superstar' really is; if he's going to share seats with us in The Ass Guild, then I need to make sure he can handle our group."
Kingsley attempted to reason with her once more, "We have come here with good intentions and only wish to win him over."
Melliandra was unmoved. Her fervor barely concealed, "Everyone will kneel before us, begging for the honor to become a part of The Ass Guild! Therefore, consider this a test for him!"
She steadied her sniper rifle, finger coiling around the trigger. "After a few days of fighting monsters in this forest, I want to have some fun," she said in a cheerful tone.
Kingsley, with his giant bear body, just stood there, his gaze fixed on her. "Elincia will be arriving soon. I hope you are prepared to take the risk."
Melliandra just giggled lightly, undeterred by Kingsley's warning. As she took aim once more, her bullet boasted an ignored defense attribute, leaving no one safe from her wrath.
"Come on, Mr. Broken, show me how good you are! No matter how thick your defense, you won't be able to survive!"
The atmosphere grew tense as Melliandra's anticipation reached its peak. Her eyes were locked on the Trial Domain, eagerly waiting for Broken to emerge. "Let's see if he's worthy of joining The Ass Guild."
Freya, being dragged along by Booba, suddenly yanked her arm free and forced him to stop. "Stop it, you fool! Do you even know what you've done?" she exclaimed exasperatedly.
Booba turned to Freya and laughed heartily. "Ahahaha, I saved you just in time. Don't worry. The one in the Trial Domain isn't Broken. We're safe; let's go. We should leave this place. By the way, where is Broken? Did he die and respawn in Deadbay again? Haha."
"No!" Freya said firmly. "You idiot! I saw it with my own eyes-that was Broken inside! We have to go back! We need to save him!" Her voice trembled with urgency.
"Ahahah, you don't need to worry. He only has a low level," Booba teased as he surveyed the area. "He can't possibly enter that Trial Domain." His laugh echoed through the trees in the clearing as if he dismissed her concerns entirely.
But Freya was not amused. Her eyes narrowed, and her nostrils flared with frustration. She spun around and walked away, her voice tinged with desperation.
"You dumb asshole, god damn it, you've ruined everything. We need to save Broken!" she yelled back over her shoulder as she marched briskly away.
Booba gave chase. "Hold on! You need to have faith in me. Broken couldn't possibly be inside. He's still only at level 30-hahaha!"
But Freya wouldn't slow her pace-she knew there was no time to waste. "Do you think I'm stupid? I'm his friend too! Now shut up and trust what I said!" she snapped.
In Freya's analysis, Kingsley and Melliandra were not in the best condition. Although Kingsley's rapid regeneration meant his health might have recovered well, Melliandra was clearly in worse shape. Her armor showed signs of damage, and her health hadn't fully recovered. It seemed like they had already hit their potion effectiveness limit.
Melliandra was the only true threat to Broken because, for some reason, she genuinely intended to harm him. Meanwhile, Kingsley seemed calmer and more neutral, although he would undoubtedly side with his partner if it came to a fight.
Freya considered the dangerous situation. She realized that with Booba's help, they might stand a chance against Melliandra. Though somewhat reckless, Booba would likely be eager to fight if he understood the true circumstances.
Melliandra could easily kill Freya with her sniper rifle, but if Booba attacks and takes the damage for her, Freya could snipe Melliandra from afar. That's the most plausible strategy to disarm the teenage girl forcefully.
Freya stopped and faced Booba. "We need to kill Melliandra before she kills Broken," she said
firmly.
"Okay, let's do it!"
Freya frowned. "You don't want to know the reason?"
"Nah, I've wanted to teach that shorty a lesson for a while now, hahaha... Besides, you said
Broken is inside that dungeon, right? So let's go kill her, hahaha."
Booba strode confidently past Freya, ready for the confrontation.
"How can Broken possibly befriend someone this stupid?" she thought to herself.
