In Fugaku’s opinion, Tsunade was an irresponsible guardian. He couldn't fathom why Tsunade would take her to bars and casinos, and even worse, they had fleeced debtors. He questioned whether this was the kind of behavior that a guardian should exhibit.
Tsunade's actions took a toll on Shizune's future prospects, as she was forced to spend her time acting as her nanny. Every day, Shizune dedicated herself to taking care of her irresponsible guardian, who seemed to care only about drinking and gambling away all their money.
----------------------------------------------------
"There's a healing medicine that has already been used up, and we need to prepare more. Tsunade-sama will take care of it," Shizune informed.
"Follow me,"
Tsunade, glancing once more towards the mountaintop before leading the way.
In the aftermath of the war, the number of wounded continued to rise, with some suffering from serious injuries while others had minor ones. With only fifty medic ninjas in total, their workload also increased.
Fortunately, the Suna camp did not launch any more attacks. Even if they had, it would have likely been a minor skirmish between the border patrol ninjas on each side, with relatively few casualties.
--------------------------------
At night, the stars shone brightly over the Konoha camp. In one of the tents tucked away in a corner, Fugaku sat with his hands supporting his head. His gaze was fixed on the flickering candle in deep thought.
He had requested a separate tent for himself, as he preferred to sleep alone.
He sent the orochimaru away, but the mad scientist was not one to easily give up. He knew he had to be wary of Orochimaru's unpredictable behavior.
Despite feeling restless, Fugaku did not want to lose control of himself. He needed an outlet for his frustration, but his caution made him hesitant to even look at women.
He pondered over his predicament, realizing that he couldn't possibly invite a female ninja to his tent with so many eyes on him in the camp. Being the center of attention with nearly 3,000 pairs of eyes staring at him made it all the more difficult.
He contemplated the option of venturing out to a nearby town to solve his dilemma. While thinking about this, Fugaku felt a twinge of longing in his heart. Perhaps in a different town, he could find a beautiful girl willing to accompany him. He remembered that Shizuka was a challenge for Naruto.
In the past, Jiraiya visited their village and fought Shizuka's mother to a standstill before ending in a draw and promising their students would finish their fight if they could not.
Naruto declines at first but is convinced to reconsider after learning that Shizuka emotionally shut herself down after the man she loved was mysteriously murdered.
---------------------------------------
"Hey, did you sleep?"
Fugaku was lost in thought when he heard someone calling him from outside his tent. As he was surprised, he returned his focus to the present moment.
“Yes, I am.”
"Yes, I did," he replied, his heart beating wildly as the familiar voice of Tsunade, the G-cup spy of the Third Hokage, reached his ears. What was she doing here?
[T/N: He did not know she was a spy yet.]
He had been looking for a woman to fulfill his desires and was not in the mood to deal with her.
"You still answer when you're asleep? If you're not, come out. I need to talk to you."
Tsunade asked again, and it became apparent to Fugaku that she wanted to have a conversation with him and maybe something else.
She had a suspicion that Fugaku knew she worked for the Third Hokage. Was that why he had been keeping his distance from her all this time?
Fugaku took a deep breath and calmed himself down before replying, "What do you need to talk to me about? Can't it wait until tomorrow?"
He was a little rude, but he was afraid he wouldn't be able to control himself around her.
It was no secret that Fugaku was attracted to Tsunade, with her fair skin and large assets.
However, she was from the Senju clan, and he would have to face her again in the future. Even if Mikoto agreed, Tsunade might not reciprocate his feelings.
Fugaku didn't think he had the charisma to make any women fall for him. He needed to tread carefully around Tsunade and ensure that he didn't make any mistakes that could jeopardize his plan.
"Hey, what's your problem? If I offended you, you could at least tell me why," Tsunade said, confronting him directly.
She had helped him out before, right? Even if they were not on good terms, they were not as bad as before, right? He had never looked at her properly since they left Konoha.
Fugaku was surprised by Tsunade. He did not expect her to think that way. He recalled their previous interactions and realized that they could be easily misunderstood.
But how could he tell her that he was avoiding her because he was afraid he couldn't control himself?
"You didn't offend me... Sigh, never mind. Come on, let's talk."
Fugaku decided to face the issue. He opened the tent and went out. He could not keep running like this. He had to clear things up with her.
As soon as he opened the tent, he saw Tsunade standing in front of him. Her voluptuous figure made him regret his decision. He quickly turned his head away.
"Follow me!"
He asked without waiting for Tsunade's reply. He ran towards the woods. He did not want anyone to hear what he was going to say. He looked for a secluded place.
Tsunade was confused by Fugaku's actions, but she was glad that he was willing to talk to her. She thought that this was a step closer to completing her mission. She followed him quickly.
Fugaku took Tsunade to a small lake in the woods. It was far from the camp and quiet, with woods behind them.
He took a deep breath. He leaned against a tree and looked at the moon's reflection in the lake.
He knew that Tsunade was not far behind him. He waited for a moment and then said, without turning around, "What do you want to talk about?"
"I want to know why you keep avoiding me. Why don't you look at me when you speak? You're not like this with other people," Tsunade asked her question.
"That's because I am a man," Fugaku snapped back.
