Get Ahead of the Fallen Heroine and Make the Bull-Headed Man the Victim

chapter 236

Chapter 236. Meanwhile, the Princess is Scheming Again (1)

After returning to the Water Capital Cathedral with Noah, Clotilde secretly changed back into her familiar attire in the office closest to the cathedral entrance.

Looking at the familiar yet strange reflection in the mirror, Clotilde couldn’t help but wonder if today’s events had been a dream.

She had actually, for the first time, voluntarily activated her curse to strengthen herself, without a curse triggering it.

Was the version of herself dressed as a female teacher really the same person as she was now?

If she were in this outfit, she probably wouldn’t have acted that way, would she—or would she still have done the same thing?

…No point in thinking too much about it, it’s time for confession.

Changing back into her nun’s habit made her feel guilty, so Clotilde pushed open the door of the room, ready to confess her sins of the day to the statue of the Goddess in the mostly empty cathedral.

“Oh my, it really is you, Clothilde.”

Coincidentally, the moment she pushed open her door, Clothilde was met by the three nuns who were already waiting for her there.

Standing in the middle, staring at her with surprised eyes, was none other than Sister Belinda.

“Huh?”

Clothilde, not knowing what her three colleagues were talking about, let out a puzzled sound, blinking her innocent, wide eyes in a bewildered manner.

“It’s the outfit, the outfit! We saw you earlier, Clothilde, wearing such an unusual outfit. It was so different, we didn’t dare recognize you at first. But that woman with the presence, that was definitely you, Clothilde.”

The nun to Belinda’s right, who looked about Clothilde’s age, perhaps even younger, couldn’t help but be a little fl*stered.

She smiled, looking at Clothilde with a gaze of admiration.

Actually, she’d only recognized Clothilde by her hair color and that distinctive pink streak.

Otherwise, she really couldn’t have believed that Clothilde, who always wore her nun’s habit, would wear such a short skirt, walking with such grace and confidence, showing off those long legs.

“Come to think of it, I heard you went out with Father Noah, and you specifically changed into other clothes. It must be a special mission, right? Can you tell us about it?”

The nun to Belinda’s left, was a similar age to Belinda, around twenty-five or twenty-six years old, and seemed more composed than the younger nun.

But even though she was older, she didn’t hide her interest in the slightest. She was very curious about what Clothilde and Noah were up to, dressed like that.

“Um, it’s nothing interesting, really. Do you really want to hear about it?”

Stared at by her colleagues with three pairs of fascinated eyes, Clothilde could only smile, somewhat embarrassed, revealing the gentle smile that a nun should possess.

“Yes, yes, we want to hear!”

“Of course.”

“Hehe, I’m also interested.”

Including Belinda, the three nuns gathered around Clothilde.

Although Clothilde seemed a bit troubled, and the truth was absolutely impossible to reveal, she had to admit that occasionally this wasn’t so bad.

Finally, she decided to tell them the harmonized version of what happened today.

And at the same time, Noah was watching her from afar, chatting and laughing with the nuns.

The nun surely feels a bit of guilt and shame while talking with those three nuns about what happened today.

But she absolutely could not imagine, that Belinda and those other two nuns have already broken their vows.

The seemingly mature nun would secretly meet with praying worshippers in private rooms, doing things that would shame the church.

The seemingly lively nun, also enjoys being treated roughly.

As for Belinda, she’s a real woman of action, a frightening nun who appears harmless at first glance.

But let the nun experience this troubling sense of shame, anyway. Soon, her faith would be destroyed in just a few days.

Looking at Clothilde from afar, Noah’s lips curved into a wicked smile.

As his plan went, Clothilde has already recovered to around level 80, the magic stolen from her, almost completely returned.

Noah, of course, was feeling pleased.

But Noah also knew things couldn’t possibly go smoothly; something was bound to happen.

First off, the fact that the priestess princess he’d let go had been silent was bothering him.

When he tried searching for her image, she was nowhere to be found, the whole world over.

Either she’d changed her appearance or, for some reason, vanished completely.

The former was fine; she’d show up again eventually.

But the latter was a bit of a problem, as he had no clue why she’d disappeared.

Secondly, there was Clothilde. Aside from the one he’d initially encountered – the defeated nun from the fanatic machine device –

Noah hadn’t met any other versions of the nun.

This struck Noah as odd. He figured they’d be out trying to hinder him by now.

After all, Noah was almost at the final step in corrupting both the princess and the nun.

If the goddess, or whatever world will, wasn’t going to come out and interfere, she’d miss her chance.

Or what? Did they have some other trick up their sleeve that Noah wasn’t expecting?

Haha, that actually made him excited.

But he could bet his life on it: no matter what they had planned to thwart him,

Clothilde, this once devout follower of the goddess, was doomed to fall and become the Silver/Demon Queen~

With that thought, Noah turned and, with a sneer, walked towards Horace’s office.

He still wanted to see if that old geezer, Horace, ever, even for one single day, was actually working when he went to visit.

And right then, Clothilde, surrounded by the other nuns, cast a glance at his departing back.

Truth be told, Clothilde had noticed Noah looking at her a while ago; she just restrained herself from looking back.

Besides, if they made eye contact right now, these colleagues would suspect they were hiding something.

…though, she *was* hiding the secret lessons between teacher and student, that was true.

But even with Clothilde’s caution, Sister Belinda still caught the flicker of something for Noah in her eyes.

Never mind what that something was.

But for Clothilde, a nun who treated everyone the same and seemed to have no personal feelings, to reveal such a look…

Belinda thought that was a huge deal.

With that in mind, Belinda felt she should warn Clothilde to be careful of Bishop Horace.

Horace might be able to fool everyone else, but not Belinda.

Though, she had no idea what method Horace was planning to use.

And even if she did tell her, Clothilde probably wouldn’t believe it until it actually happened.

After all, she trusts humanity so completely.

Sigh… the Water Cathedral is rotten to its very core.

She really wishes someone would appear to properly teach those arrogant male clergymen, especially the ones led by Horace, a lesson.

Even if it were a demon god or an incubus/succubus.

Sister Belinda couldn’t help but wish for this.

And that wish, in the not-so-distant future, actually became a reality.

PS. Today’s sixth update, also the 63rd bonus chapter of May, is finished!

A bonus update was promised, and a bonus update it is, I finally didn’t go back on my word.

But I have to say, these last few days of high-intensity writing have really taken a toll, guess ten monthly tickets per bonus update was a bit too ambitious, thankfully I didn’t say May tickets.

For June I need to properly adjust my update schedule, but right now, I’m going to sleep.

Oh, and that’s right, Happy Children’s Day, my dear readers!

(Plot-wise, the story will now enter the Sister’s descent into corruption arc, and by the way, I’m also asking for monthly tickets at the start of the month, I’ll repay my dear readers with updates!)
