Destroying My Own World

Chapter 293: Succumb.

The Lord was thinking really hard because suddenly he realized that he didn't want to disappear. He took his time to think about how to talk it out and convince Mykel to spare his life and make Mykel believe that he could do something that nobody else could.

"Time is up," Mykel said and grabbed The Lord in the head. "You're more naive than Sasha," he pointed out as he glared at The Lord and ripped The Lord's body apart.

The Lord was helpless as his body was being torn apart like a bear killing its prey not because it was hungry but to show how fierce it was. He could see his arms, legs, and pieces of his body scattered around as he felt an immense amount of pain. He saw the body parts being devoured by the abyss that came out of Mykel's feet and took the remaining power that existed in his body.

Mykel had sealed The Lord's power and then he took it the moment he pierced The Lord's chest. He took the power from the body and that was when The Lord's body started to crumble like a statue. He didn't let The Lord speak a single word out and then he left, leaving the remaining body parts to be devoured by the ground.

Mykel came back to Sasha's side, and he noticed that Sasha could stand properly and her legs weren't shaking anymore. He then stood next to her as he put his right hand on her back, transferring The Lord's power inside his body to Sasha's body.

Sasha was surprised when she felt something warm from behind her back. She immediately looked at Mykel and she knew the power that ran through her body.

"Did you kill him?" Sasha asked.

"This is the only chance I have knowing that these figures are busy going through the storm. They won't notice and even if they did, it's already too late for them," Mykel answered and looked at the figures that kept going toward the storm. "Congratulations, Sasha. You have replaced The Lord's position," he looked Sasha in the eyes.

Sasha looked at her hands and her body started to glow brightly, taking in all the attention of the dark figures. They all stopped charging toward the storm and all of them glared at her, wanting to kill her and take the power within her body. That was when Mykel took a step forward to protect her from those figures knowing he couldn't control or prevent them from harming her anymore since they had a strong reason to do so.

"You don't have to protect me anymore, Mykel," Sasha said as she put her left hand on Mykel's back. "They can't harm me," she pointed out with confidence.

Sasha radiated the light from within her body and it was enough to light up the whole place with it. The reason why her light could pierce through the darkness was because she was a part of the darkness as well and she knew how to radiate the light through it. Rather than overpowering the darkness, the light was coexisting with the darkness, letting the light sip through and creating a beautiful and bright purple light around.

The dark figures charged at her, but the moment they got close to her, she used the purple light-like ropes that shackled the dark figures from getting close to her. The light was powerful enough to prevent them from breaking free, and then she threw them all away from her.

Mykel watched it all with his own eyes and he knew it was the right thing to do to bring Sasha to his side rather than The Lord who seemed naive and never knew what pain, loneliness, and suffering felt like. He needed someone who possessed his power and the Lord's power, and Sasha was the only one, and now she was capable of achieving something that The Lord wouldn't be able to achieve.

The dark figures didn't stop knowing they couldn't touch Sasha or even get close to her. They were relentless like savages who fell for their own desires and ambitions, something that was far worse than The Lord himself. One thing that they didn't realize was the fact that Sasha slowly took control over them by submitting them to the light.

Sasha could understand the reason why Mykel did it and gave the power to her without having Mykel tell her. She could feel the connection between the figures through the light and she tried to shackle them and prevent them from becoming savages. She wanted those figures to follow Mykel and obey him as their master because she believed Mykel wanted her to do that.

Mykel looked at the purple lights that came out of the darkness and shackled the dark figures around him. It was something he couldn't do since he and the dark figures basically possessed the same power, making him unable to stop them no matter how hard he tried.

The reason why Mykel couldn't do it was because he turned The Lord's power into his origin as the abyss. He fed the power and that was when he possessed the [Singularity] power. To put it simply, Sasha who had possessed both The Lord's power and Mykel's power made her unique and could make both powers live in coexistence.

After a fight that felt like an eternity, the dark figures had given up not because it was pointless but because their bodies started to radiate purple light within their bodies. They succumbed to where they couldn't feel the urge anymore and started to question why they attacked Sasha in the first place. They realized they wouldn't gain anything by doing that and made them think by working together they could achieve more.

Sasha stopped radiating the light within her body and she immediately collapsed because she didn't rest for a second to fight them. She exhausted all her power but it was worth the trouble, and then Mykel carried her in his arms as the dark figures surrounded her.

"You have done a great job, Sasha," Mykel said with a gentle smile. "You have always been my savior," he continued.

Sasha was so happy to hear that from Mykel that she couldn't stop smiling even though she felt like her whole body was being stabbed by hot needles.

"You can rest for now," Mykel said. "You can go to sleep and I'll be there when you wake up," he added.

Sasha nodded her head weakly and then she closed her eyes to rest. It was so comfortable to sleep in Mykel's arms that she slept without even being bothered by the pain.

Mykel brought Sasha back to the throne and put her down carefully and made her feel comfortable. The figures were gathered below the throne like dogs waiting for their master to wake up so they could receive orders from her. He then looked down and he had never thought the day had come when all of them gathered in the throne room.

"Wait here and tell me when she wakes up," Mykel said and his voice echoed.

All of them nodded and stayed there to protect their master, and then Mykel flew away.

Mykel opened his eyes and his real body was shrouded in an abyss, and then he walked past the abyss until he realized he was inside a small pocket of reality. When he came out, he was confused when he saw Elena's life energy that covered the whole space. The moment his limbs touched the energy, his body was shackled by the energy, and then his body was dragged forcefully and he felt like he entered a wormhole until he ended up standing in front of Elena.

Elena was glaring at him and then she grabbed Mykel's neck and slammed him to the ground. She locked his body with her body by sitting on top of him, preventing him from leaving. She was ready to enter his body again, but then she realized the way he looked at her was the same look that Mykel always gave her.

"I'm sorry for sending you away," Mykel said. "I have my reason, but I'm back now," he continued.

"Mykel?" Elena was in disbelief, but she didn't loosen up because she still didn't want to let him go away.

"It's me," Mykel smiled as he nodded his head. "I know that you don't want me to run away, but it's kind of tight in here. Can you at least loosen up for a bit so I can breathe?" he asked with his eyebrows raised.

Elena loosened up her thighs from Mykel's waist, but then she hugged him so tightly, making him unable to move again. She was trembling and she thought that she would lose him forever, and Mykel could feel the fear of losing him. She was hugged back by him to tell her that he was there and it wasn't an illusion or a dream.

"I'm not going to send you away again, and I'm not going to let you leave by my side," Mykel said as he caressed Elena's back. "And I'm here to ask you to help me," he added.

Elena slowly leaned back to look at Mykel's face.

"You don't need to ask, I'll help you no matter what it is," Elena answered.

"I know you would say that," Mykel smiled as he wiped the tears that were about to fall from Elena's eyes. "We will go down there again, are you ready?" he asked.

Elena hummed as she nodded her head.
