Chapter 6: Ah, Right, Fantasy...
(*Celia’s POV*)
Explaining what happened, was far easier than I originally thought that it would be…
Normally, telling your loved ones that you experienced a future, where they were all dead, would get you put in an institute. But as this is a fantasy world, they just believed me straight away. Oddly, Yona, and even Solia gave me hugs…
I mean, sure, I was sad about what happened. But now that depressing future is basically prevented. After they finished hugging me, they trapped Lia, and Amelie within magic barriers. What the fuck? Why!?
Amelie: “…”
Lia: “…”
Yona: “Celia, as you’re an adult, you should know why we’ve done this.” She said with a serious tone.
Solia: “It’s nothing too bad. Both Amelie and Lia, have evil demons within them. Lia knows this, but Amelie doesn’t.” She explained.
Lia: “Right, I do, but what does that matter?” She asked with a confused expression.
Yona: “Amelie was the catalyst to all of our deaths. As she got stronger, so did the being inside of her. Once it was strong enough, it separated from her, killing her in the process.” She explained.
Amelie: “Then remove it! I didn’t even realize I had such a thing within me...” She said with a serious tone and expression.
Lia: “What about me?” She asked with a nervous tone.
Solia: “With what happened to Amelie, you kept quiet about the being within you. And it escaped as well. The only problem, was that the being within you, at that time, was far more powerful than Amelie’s.” She replied.
Celia: “Is that what killed you both?” I ask.
Yona: “Yes. At least, that was what the dead future me had written down.” She replied.
Ah, no wonder she didn’t want me to read it then. I don’t know how I would have reacted to learning about this information… I surely wouldn’t have thought to imprison them, though…
Lia: “How do we even get Yooni out of me, then? All of the methods that we know of would end up killing, or at least heavily injuring me…” She asked with an unsure tone.
Nia: “That’s where I come in!” She exclaimed.
Lia: “Huh?” She said with a confused tone.
Nia: “I am a Death Goddess, as such, dealing with souls is my actual job.” She answered.
Celia: “Won’t you also reap Lia and Amelie’s souls?” I ask.
Amelie: “No, she can control which souls she reaps. And dear daughter, if you’re curious, the beings within us, are the souls of deceased demons.” She explained.
Yona: “Evil demons, mind you. Most demon’s souls just go to the afterlife, just like everyone else.” She scolded.
Amelie: “Hey, you try being possessed, and not be upset about it!” She yelled in defense.
Yona: “No, I understand. You two will feel sick for a few days, so no class for Lia. Amelie, you can just laze around like usual.” She said with a sigh, before waving her hand to remove the magic barriers that she set up.
Amelie: “Laze around!? I’ll have you know that I am conducting very important research about…” Her words were cut short, because Nia stabbed her chest.
Though, like with my knife, no blood came out, nor was any wound left. After she did that to both Amelie and Lia, they both looked extremely unwell. A few maids helped each of them out of the room. Hmm? But why?…
Solia: “It won’t be that easy, dear daughter.” She said with a giggle.
Celia: “Meaning?” I ask with a nervous tone.
Nia: “I could separate their souls from Lia and Amelie, but I cannot reap them. We have to fight them until they use up all of their remaining life force.” She explained.
Celia: “…”
Once she finished saying that, two humanoid beings appeared before us. They looked similar to Mena, but were demons. They also looked very strong… Before the fight even began, the purple one sucker punched the orange one. Why!?
Orange Demon: “What the hell!? We should be fighting together, you fucking idiot!” He yelled.
Yooni: “Haha! Serve you right for thinking that we would be on the same team.” She said with a haughty laugh.
Celia: “I am so confused…” I say with a sigh.
Yooni: “I do not know why I betrayed Lia. Though, I must have just gone mad from too much power. Even so, I have no intentions of coming back to life. But I would like to have one good fight, so fight together with me!” She exclaimed.
The orange demon was far too fast for me to check out his Status, so we had no choice but to fight him with all that we had. Annoyingly, when I struck him with my sword, I cut off his arm.
Sounds good, right? Well, the annoying part, was that he quickly regained his arm, and my fucking sword broke in half! That sword had a lot of meaning to me, fucker!
Celia: “You bitch! That sword was a gift!” I yell in anger.
Yona: “Do not fret daughter, I shall gift you an even better sword.” She said to console me.
With Yona’s caring words, the fight continued. For a long… long time…
*A Day Later…*
The throne room was where we conducted the fight, and that was a wise decision. Almost like they planned it out… The throne room was as solid as a rock, and the orange demon could not leave at all.
Though, the room was now heavily damaged. Blood from every one of us littered the room. If only Ria was here, then this fight would have ended fast. But her job was blocking the orange demon from leaving the room, from the outside of it.
We were all tired to the highest extent, and the demons were as well. With a final strike from Yona, the orange demon vanished. And Yooni, as Lia called her, wasn’t long for this world either.
Yooni: “Ah, now that was a fine fight. What an amazing way to go out! You, Celia, take care of my Lia. As much as I nor her would admit it, I saw her as a daughter. Or at least, as a sister.” She said with a happy laugh, before fading away into nothingness.
With the all of threats now eliminated, we all fell to the ground in exhaustion. Looking around the room, it was damn near destroyed. The regal walls were torn off, revealing that the walls were actually made of some kind of fantasy metal.
Why the hell did Yona plan this far ahead?… No. She probably did this just as a precaution for some odd reason. I am far too tired to even think about this right now…
Yona: “Celia, you and Nia can fall asleep now. Solia and I will handle the rest.” She said with a smile as I lie on the ground.
She also rubbed my head, which felt quite nice, and soothed me to sleep. Oddly, before I did fall asleep, I saw Solia do the same to Nia. Heh, that’s pretty cute. Ah, sleep is calling me, and I am so going to pick up that fucking call!
